In this year of ‘Culturedale 2024’, we joined up with Creative Minds and invited anyone with an interest in  the upper Calder valley to join us to design and make a quilt that reflects the interesting people and architecture that have shaped our local culture and history over time.

 

The quilt features embroidery, needlepoint, tapestry, printing , quilting and appliqué, creative writing and will be facilitated by local artists and makers.

 

There was no experience of crafting necessary and we provided all materials support.
